Biography

Hello! My name is Kendra Minette Prutton and I am from the San Francisco Bay Area. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2016 with a B.S. in Biology and a certificate in Environmental Science. In Florida, I worked at a diagnostic lab that focused on metabolic medicine and toxicology. I assisted with pre-analytical procedures for urine, saliva, and blood testing. It was this experience, coupled with my interest in the criminal justice system and passion for science, that led me to pursue a career in forensic science. I chose Penn State because of the university's research opportunities, reputation, and large network. The hands-on education, incredible faculty, and small program is what makes the forensic science program at Penn State hard to beat!

Research Interests

I will be working with Dr. Dorman's research group. My research involves developing an analytical method to identify and quantify synthetic hormones.
