Biography

Hi! My name is Meaghan Dougher and I am from Collegeville, PA (a suburb of Philadelphia, PA). I received my Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Anthropology in 2016 from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. While I did participate in undergraduate research at BU, I focused mostly in qualitative social work research. Thus, my interest in forensic science actually stems from my undergraduate internship experiences in forensic pathology. I chose Penn State for a variety of reasons, but I particularly liked the hands-on classes and the opportunity to strengthen my research skills with the research project component of the program. My outside hobbies include hockey and music (particularly marching band), and I hope to join a drum corps in the near future.

Research Interests

I am interested in researching the effect of different decomposition settings on powder stippling (GSR) pattern changes.
