Our degree programs in Forensic Science are accredited by the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC).

FEPAC promotes academic quality through formal accreditation of forensic science programs. Meeting FEPAC guidelines assures the public that our programs are of the highest quality.

The Penn State Forensic Science program produces top quality graduates from both our Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees – and our graduates go on to find top quality careers!

Bachelor of Forensic Science Students

Since 2007, our Bachelor of Science program has graduated 246 students, 47% of whom have gone on to careers in crime labs and non-forensic science labs around the world. 20% of our graduates have gone on to obtain additional degrees or now work in higher education. 3% have gone on to work in law enforcement or crime scene investigation. 30% have chosen work in another field, including law, medicine, secondary education, and non-forensic areas of criminal justice.

Master’s of Forensic Science Students

Since 2007, our Master’s program has graduated 63 students, 68% of whom have gone on to careers in both forensic and non-forensic science labs around the world. 19% of our graduates have gone on to obtain additional degrees or now work in higher education. 2% have gone on to work in law enforcement or crime scene investigation. 11% have chosen to work in non-science/non-forensic fields.
